This is the best cordless stick vacuum that I have ever used! My closet is full of stick vacuums that I have purchased and never use because of inferior suction, difficulty in cleaning, and the inability to use it on rugs. It has tremendous power in a beautifully designed, easy to use lightweight vacuum. With a dog that seems to shed constantly and large areas of hardwood floor with area rugs, I am interminably vacuuming and while I use my wonderful Dyson once a week for a thorough cleaning of my rugs, it is too heavy and inconvenient to use daily. This stick vacuum is not only cordless and lightweight but it does a great job on bare floors, tile and hardwood, and even a reasonably good job on rugs. It also shines in convenience of cleaning-- the dirt cup just pops out with the touch of a lever and empties easily in a bag or trash can. The plastic housing pulls apart for effortless washing and is a cinch to reattach to the vacuum. I also love that the switch from floors to rugs and vice versa is high on the handle requiring no bending to change from one mode to the other. Also, the batteries just slip out and are charged in a separate charger and slip back onto the vacuum with no effort. The only flaw that I find is one that others have mentioned regarding the short battery life. You can get about twenty minutes to a charge which is not long enough for large areas. I solved this by buying two batteries and always keeping both charged and ready for use. It is somewhat costly, but a lot less expensive than having a collection of useless stick vacs. If Hoover could develp a longer lasting battery, i would give five stars+ for this product.

Did a lot of reading reviews before selecting a cordless vac. This one works GREAT!

We have a 700 sq. ft. home with 1/3 carpet and 2/3 tile. The 2 speed settings are perfect (the higher speed setting activates the roller brush for carpet).

The dirt canister is easy to remove and empty and the battery is easy to remove and recharge.

This vac is a little loud for a cordless, but it does a great job at cleaning. It's fast at getting the job done and because it's easy to use, access and put away, we use it more often.

Also, the feature that makes it work well and then shut off without becoming slower and less effective as the battery drains is really cool. I don't know how they managed to make that feature, but it's great that you see the lights blinking (indicating the battery is almost empty) and the power is still full strength. I noticed that within 10 seconds of it shutting itself off the motor sounds like it drops back to 75% or so, but that's still a pretty cool feature.

This is a pretty neat little vacuum cleaner. I have several small parrots and they create a daily mess of feathers and strewn food that needs to be vacuumed daily (and sometimes twice a day if they're feeling extra messy). This little vacuum does the job perfectly! The battery lasts for about 15 minutes which is more than adequate for my needs. You will still need a larger vacuum for an entire house to get a good deep down cleaning. It doesn't get into the edges very well so you'll need to use your larger vacuum cleaner for that as well.

It's also great on my kitchen floor (linoleum) and the large doormat rug at our home's entrance-way (the place where everything gets tracked in and dragged through the rest of the house if it isn't vacuumed daily).

I purchased an extra battery for about $60. I think that for the overall price of the vacuum, Hoover should provide an extra battery as part of the package. But since they don't, I'm glad I bought the extra one. I did read somewhere that leaving the battery plugged in long term affects the overall battery life . . so I make sure I remove it from the charger as soon as it is fully charged.

I'm glad I purchased this vacuum . . . I've had it about a month and I'm entirely satisfied.

Don't waste your money. It doesn't pick up anything other than lint. I'm quite upset that hubby picked this up for my bathroom which houses a cat. Kitty litter from kitty toes is always scattered all over the wood floor daily. We thought it would be easier than hefting up the big boy vacuum cleaner. Once you vacuum the slight amount of crumbs of litter, then pick up the vacuum, it spits it all over the place. Apparently the suction isn't strong enough to pull it into the cup. Extreme amount of money spent for practically nothing. One good thing: I like the battery life, for what it is, and that it tells you when it's getting low. In summary: For what this is capable of, use an appropriate dust mop.

This little vac is great for clean-ups between major vacuuming sessions. It easily picks up dust and little bits of things with less effort than using a broom or dragging out the big vacuum. It maneuvers easily, maintains good suction, and is easy to dump. I like the variable speed option. The higher speed works well on rugs, but shortens the battery charge. The 20 minute battery charge is not a problem since it recharges in about two hours. I love it and would buy it again.

I bought it primarily to pick up the piles of animal hair that accumulates in my house without having to lug out my big heavy Eureka. I have a 1000 sq foot house and three animals. I learned the hard way that it needs to be cleaned out every time I use it. (I went a week without dumping it and it stopped sucking.) For me it fills up pretty quick. I use it every day. I read on other reviews that the battery doesn't last??? I don't have that problem. I only put it on the charger a couple of times a week and it is fine. Mine came with an extra battery and I have never had to use it. This has been one of my most helpful house cleaning purchases in a long time. (Sorry Swiffer) I'm a big fan!!!

I have a longhaired cat, whose litterbox is on carpet. I wanted to replace an old handheld cordless kept for litter pickup, so easy switch from handle to handheld was important to me. I was surprised by this Eureka's ease and speed of use, much better than the old handheld, so I did half the room just to see how it did at general cleaning.

Then the roller began a faint whine, so I checked it. The poor roller's brush was wrapped in cat hair! It took time clean, since there was so much hair no longer in my carpet. The second vacuuming found a little more, and my carpet got a facelift, appears years younger. I've used a new Hoover and an Oreck here over 5 years, neither of which did the job, even with a powder claiming to help a vac pick up pet hair.

Who expects a stick vac to beat the big boys? It never occurred to me.

I've now done the whole house with this featherweight, producing handfuls of cat hair. After the fourth brush cleaning, I must warn you pet owners, allow a lot of extra time to do your first cleaning with this vac! It's thereafter much quicker than a regular heavy corded vac, and so easy.

I shopped hard before choosing this vac, and its 300 reviews sold me. I now worry that such a mature product might go out of production, so I bought another one, with extra filters (a new one is suggested each year, since they're washable). Buy yours quick, before some fool tries to improve it!

Cordless means it runs on batteriess, and will lack some power and life. There is only so much you can do on a battery, know that before thinking this is an equal replacement for a corded vacuum. I prefered the cordless because I need to quickly and frequently cover a small one bedroom home. This replaced a swivel sweeper which I had for over a year. I was amazed by how much this Eureka picked up that the swivel sweeper had been missing. I have a cat and this works well to pick up hair on the floor and clean up around the litter box. I have all hardwoods with one area rug. I was a little bit dissappointed that it was not about to pickup all of the cat hair from the rug. I love the dual batteries, I can do about 3/4 of my four room condo before it starts to slow.

The only upgrade from this cordless model would be to get a normal corded model. This would be the best battery one that you could get.

I was looking for a cordless vacuum for quick cleanups around the house. I have mostly tile and wood floors. The reviews were amazing for the Eureka so I gave it a shot. Maybe I was expecting to much, but overall I was a little dissapointed. #1, the battery dies too quick. #2, it just doesn't seem to have enough suction.

I LIKE this vac! Maybe owing to the fact that I haven't had a cordless handvac since back in the early "original Dustbuster" days (they were such a 'revolutionary' novelty back in the 80s), I think this thing ROCKS! The sucking power of this vac is great, and the attachments/extension feature really add to its utility. I do sort of wish the waste chamber was a bit larger, but that's a tiny gripe on an otherwise great design. I'm not normally a huge Black & Decker fan, but this time they scored a hit with me. My only regret is that one of my first vac jobs with this was a bunch of dead leaves and debris from around the AeroGarden (that I regrettably let stay in the chamber for days). Now, months later, every time we use the vac we still get a fresh burst of basil fragrance. And no, that's not as pleasant as it sounds...

Very powerful, easy to clean, and good battery life. Just be careful about pointing the tip up when finished, to not let the debris from coming back out, until you get over a trash container. It is not always a problem, and is a minor point compared to the strengths. Highly recommend.

I do not shy away from loud noises but this thing is LOUD! It works really well and I still would highly recommend it. I was very surprised at how heavy this thing was too but it all goes into how hard it works. But let me tell you if you're in a bathroom or vacuuming and enclosed or hardwood stairway, I actually needed ear plugs because the pitch of the vacuum is quite high and loud. So other than that it's great!

I've had indoor cats most of my life and hand vacs for daily use are a must for me. I've probably tried just about every type made and this is by far the best cordless I've ever used. Sure, it is a little noisy but anything with the suction this has is going to have some noise with it just as I expect my Dyson (upright)to have with all its power. The suction of this 18-volt is significantly better than my older cordless models and I really don't think it is louder than any of them. I like the folding nozzle which has a smaller footprint on the floor when in the charger and also find the charge lasts much longer than my older B&D cordless vacs.

Have a Electrolux canister that is 40 years old. Wanted to get a second vacume bought the EL 7020B Oxy3 because Electrolux was the best money could buy, well no more! After 1 month controls on the handle don't work properly. Cord retractor won't work properly, keeps rolling up cord. The floor brush is too long, not enough vacume power. Hose is starting to show signs of wear. Over all just a crappy vacume. Sears is so much better.

I did my fair share of research about vacuums after a consumer reports suggested vacuum crapped out after a year. I decided on this Electrolux 7020. I have no complaints at all. The vacuum works wonderful! It is very versitile! It picks up bare floors and carpeting with no problem. I like the On/Off switch on the handle, plus all the controls on the handle. I think I will stay with a canister vacuum from here on out. I've had it for a year and it's been awesome. The bags are more expensive and smaller but they do support hepa filtering. Very clean! Also, I guess there was an update to this model that's why they call it the 7020B. I guess they improved on some issues with the first generation model which was 7020A.

Purchased this through Amazon about a month ago. Researched vacuums online and in local stores before making the purchase to replace a very noisy 10 year old Hoover upright. I had owned Electrolux vacuums previously and my family had owned Electrolux vacuums as well...a generational thing.

Love the suction, portabilty and quietness. It's so easy to carry. Cleaning is a charm in tight spaces, under beds and other low furniture.

What's not so great: pricy bags. I'd like all the attachment on board in one place.

Initial operation took some getting used to ... but then, don't all new appliances have a learning curve?

I really liked these bags. Very thick and fit perfect into the eletrolux I purchased a couple years ago at amazon.com--It amazes me how long I can go between changing bags (as much as 6 months) with having 2 cats that shed a lot. I vacuum quite often and I have never had them less than 4 months in the vacuum. I have only hardwood floors so they have to be taken care of more often than carpeting would call for.

These bags work well, they do not rip and do not let any dust past them. The tab for the sliding hole cover breaks off easily. I now try to get the sliding cover moving on the new bag before I install it into the vaccuum.

If you own Electrolux EL 7020B Oxy3 Ultra Canister Vacuum, there is not much choice, but to buy these bags.

I love these Clinic Vacuum Bags, they do a wonderful job of keeping all the debris in the bag and not clogging up the fan system of the vacuum. I have only used the anti-allergy Clinic bags, and not the regular vacumm bags, but I wouldn't give up the Clinic for anything! They are more costly, but worth every penny to me and I am willing to pay the extra expense for a quality product.

in general I found this product live up to my expectation given its price. It's not super quiet but tolerable, much better than the up-right vacuums worth $30-60 I've used before. Navigation with this product is a bit difficult on wooden floors, because the machine is heavy and the wheels feel a bit stuck.

I returned the product mainly because the off button is not reliable. I opened the box and the second time I tried it, the off button won't work and I have to unplug the machine. I encountered the same problem again the next day and decided to return it. But the seller is very good at dealing with the return. Essentially I called Electrolux to get an incidence number and then give the number to CPO and they processed the return immediately. Then I just print out the return label and drop it off at a FedEX.

I read all the reviews before I bought it. I found that the suction was way more than I expected. To the point I may not even bother to get my expensive vacuum cleaner repaired now. I had bought this model as a temporary replacement, but if it continues to perform as good as it has the last 3 days, it will be my regular vacuum. Yes, the bag is small, but my rooms are no bigger than 12 x 14 anyway, and all my outlets are centered, so moving the cord isn't the chore others have commented on. The big wheels do take some getting used to, but it rolls easily for me. I love the adjustable handle as well as the carpet/floor option. It picks up everything including cat litter. The edge suction is better than my other vacuum too. It picks up pet hair with ease. My old vacuum just moved it around, this actually picks it up. I am thinking of getting a second one, just in case this one ever dies on me. Hopefully of old age.

I wanted a compact vac to occasionally deep-clean rugs. I've had this vac several months and it absolutely does the job. As other reviewers have noted, it picks up a lot of dirt, lint, cat hair, etc.; also it is well-made, out of quality material.

Drawbacks: (1) it is so hard to push around I keep looking for some hidden brake mechanism that I need to unlock (if there is one, or some way to make the wheels turn easily, would someone post a comment on it?). It doesn't do corners, under stuff, or anything for which you need a hose such as shelves, so can't be your only vac.

Good when combined with a robot-vacuum for bare floors and a hand-held for pillows, shelves, etc.

I actually bought this vacuum a couple of years ago when I was moving and my vacuum cleaner suddenly stopped working. As a result, I paid full price for it, but I have never regretted it. It cleans far better than any other vacuum I have had. I am now moving from a one level home to a two-level home and am considering buying a second one. True, it lacks attachments, but a little handheld vacuum easily replaces them. Highly recommended.

this is THE BEST !! vacuum I ever had and I have tried a lot;

it picks up cat litter sand better than any other from the floor;

it is easy to maneuver , the noise level is a lot quieter than other vacuums;

I use it mainly for daily pickup, pet hair, cat litter sand etc..

I recommend this vacuum for anybody who needs a GOOD daily vacuum;

the buttons to turn it on are on top on the handle, the cable roll up with a foot step, what more do you want; I don't have to bent down anymore :)

very easy to handle
